Monte (Football)

The Wessex Lane Football Club © Monte FC features high quality football, being the only Southampton football team to win at Varsity. We play matches on Wednesdays and Sundays , with training on Saturdays, and we go into this season aiming to defend our league title success. We also host high quality socials every Wednesday, often with other societies too, making it a perfect way to meet new people and enrich your university experience. We also embark on an annual monte tour during the easter break, which is widely regarded as the best few days of the year by current and past members of the club. The curtain is closed on the season with a traditional Monte Boat Ball where we set sail with our Netball and Rugby family, the best way to end the season.

Monte FC has proven to be the most successful and prestigious IM club on and off the pitch in UoS history. Both teams play twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) with training every Saturday.

We host regular socials as a club and with other societies making it a great way to introduce yourself to other students. We have an Annual Monte Tour and many other tournaments/events each year which adds to an unreal university experience.
