Palestine Solidarity Society is the official society at the University of Southampton in support of the Palestinian people. We believe in the power of art and community to provide a meaningful space for discussion and invite everybody — students and staff — to join us.

It is our priority to centre Palestinian liberation, culture and art at our events; We run weekly vigils for discussion and support, organise fundraisers for Palestinian charities and host film screenings to raise awareness and knowledge. The society also works to provide reliable open resources to counter the spread of misinformation and encourage sincere open dialogue between students.

PalSoc is particularly concerned with the epistemicide of the Palestinians. We seek to protect and preserve Palestinian contributions to academia (particularly at our university) and work alongside the UOS Palestine Solidarity Network in order to liaise with the university on matters concerning language, investment, scholarships and recognition of the ongoing scholasticide in Palestine.
